Igniting its online presence in 2010, AliExpress is a global online retail of the Alibaba Group, selling products from Chinese companies.

Yes AliExpress is a reliable online shopping website, the only difference from this platform vs. others is it is based in China. If you did not know, and you live in the U.S., many of your online shopping stores are based in overseas countries and they have smaller warehouses in U.S. states.


Yes, my links are safe to use. The products I share on my website are products I have already ordered myself and reviewed or they are on my wishlist from a retailer I trust because I have shopped with them plenty of times before. Plus, when using my links you are also receiving a discount on some products. 


As expressed, I have been shopping on this platform for years and am able to easily identify great retailers and products. It’s something you learn to do as a person behind the business operations and the more you online shop. Whether it’s an online shop in your country or another country. To shop any of my links, I have made it super simple and easy. All you have to do is press the image and it will take you directly to where to find the products. 


AliExpress offers a variety of products. The platforms sells: men and women fashion, beauty products for hair and makeup, phone accessories, computer and office decor/supplies, jewelry and watches, pet toys, handbags and purses, shoes for men and women, children toys, outdoor items for home and travel, car decor, and so many other tools.

AliExpress has a main warehouse in China however they have other warehouses in many other countries including the U.S. and UK. It is a GLOBAL online retailer that ships to many countries. On AliExpress website you will find a flag located on the top right hand corner of the website where once you press it, a drop down box will appear and you are able to use the “Ship To” tool and find your country.

It’s helpful to create an account, which is free, so you are able to save all your information and settings to reflect your country.

Shipping can be as quick as 3 days to as long as 6 weeks. Processing can take less than 24 hours to about 1 week. Handling specifically for U.S. customs normally takes about 1-3 days, depending on the product, the time can vary. 


In my experience shipping and handling may vary based on what warehouse your products are being shipped. The quickest products has been hair. Because many Chinese hair vendors began their start on AliExpress they still have retail stores on the AliExpress website. Now many retailers have created their own website and factories in other countries and are using shipping companies like DHL so your package can arrive quickly. You can purchase hair from AliExpress however, the hair retailer may have a warehouse in somewhere N.Y. or L.A (in the U.S) or somewhere closer to your country so it arrives fast.


Whereas clothing, shoes, jewelry, and decor, can take about 1 week to 6 weeks. Sometimes products from one vendor can ship and arrive faster than the other. For example, if you order 4 pair of sunglasses 2 pair can arrive within 3 weeks, while the other 2 pair arrive in 5 weeks. This can be because of different reasons, however these are the top 3.

1. The retailer has their product(s) in more than one warehouse. So, your products are being shipped from different locations.

2. The product(s) is sold out and the retailer will have to design and manufacture new inventory before shipping it to you and instead of having you wait for your entire order, they will ship half.

3. The product(s) are out of stock and the vendor made a mistake on their inventory so they will reach out to you to either send you a refund or replace your product with something different that is equivalent to the same price you paid. 


In my experience, my products have passed through U.S. customs within a few days and it has not delayed any of my products to arrive.

In the U.S. (varies for all countries) AliExpress accepts VISA (debit and credit), Mastercard, American Express, PayPal and ApplePay. 


My recommendation is to pay using PayPal. I have always used PayPal to shop on AliExpress and it has made my payment process easy and convenient. PayPal is sometimes recommended and sometimes ONLY accepted by some retailers. 


Yes, I have used my debit and credit card on AliExpress (without PayPal or Apple Pay). However I feel more comfortable using PayPal or Apple pay. As both of these platforms secure your card numbers and details from online shopping, and that is true for ANY online shopping platform.

In my experience, I have not been scammed on AliExpress. There has been a time when my order took way too long to arrive so I did report it to the retailer and they refunded me. However, this has not happened to me in the past years, I receive my packages as scheduled. After AliExpress sends you a confirmation of your order, the retailers will also reach out to you in message and let you know ways to ask questions and receive updates about your order.


Yes scammers do exist on the platform. AliExpress is like other platforms where you can purchase from different vendors all in one space and they host many retails/vendors selling similar or different products. AliExpress, as the housing website, does a great job at managing their retailers and flagging retailers who scam customers. Plus many customers leave reviews which are good to use as reference for the retailers. 


Overall, I have not had experiences with scammers, but they do exist hence my recommendation for using PayPal or Apple Pay. I recommend using PayPal or Apple Pay for shopping online ANYWHERE not just AliExpress. 


AliExpress will provide you with a countdown timeline of when the retailer is required to process and ship your products before your order is cancelled and you are refunded. 


If you do not receive your package within the time it says it should be processed or delivered, the first thing you should do is CONTACT THE RETAILER. You can contact the retailer in messages on AliExpress, sometimes they even share with you their Whats App so you can send a text message. The retailer should be able to provide you with an update on your package. Because these retailers are based in China and sometimes other counties, they are on a different timezone and it can take them about 24 hours to respond. 


Sometimes on AliExpress the package can say delivered, however the delivery company (DHL, USPS Postal Service, UPS, etc) has not processed it from their warehouse and the delivery company has not shared an updated tracking number. 


If your order has not been delivered to your country and has taken more than an extra 10 days outside of the original delivery date, share with the retailer that you plan to report the package through AliExpress as undelivered to receive a refund.

AliExpress does have an option where you can share information about your delivery and report a claim. AliExpress will connect with the retailer on your behalf and help settle the claim.

Before marking your products as delivered on the website, it is best to open your package and do a QUALITY CHECK! Make sure there are no damages to your order and you received what your ordered. 


If not, use the AliExpress report option under the “My Orders tab to report the damage. Make sure to provide pictures and details about the order. 


AliExpress will recommend for you to not return the products and instead be issued a refund or shipped new products. Depending on where the products were shipped, mostly from China, it may cost more time and money to return the product rather than receive a refund or be sent a new product.

AliExpress is available on both a website and app. 


I like to shop on my AliExpress App, but I will shop on the website as well. The app is of course more accessible.

If you are purchasing from any of my links understand I am also purchasing from the same exact vendors. My priority is to have quality pieces in my home and closet and I want to also provide my audience and community with the same exact thing, quality! If the product you are interested is not reviewed on my social media, I am either still waiting on my package, have not posted the review yet, or the item is in my wishlist from my trusted retailers.

I determine if a product is good quality by looking at reviews, pictures, and pricing.


Reviews are very important to read when purchasing from AliExpress retailers. Retailers who have more reviews are likely to give you more information and details about the products. Reviews give customers the option to leave comments and give a star rating plus include pictures and videos.

Each AliExpress retailer will provide pictures of a product. Be sure to pay attention to the different types of pictures provided. Some of the images are replicas of items and products that already exist online so it may not look exactly like the picture when you receive it. Analyze the pictures shared by the retailers and the reviews.


Pricing is very important as well. I like to find luxurious yet affordable pieces however if you want me to be honest, sometimes if an item is too cheap and seems too good to be true than it is. Most jewelry and sunglasses you can trust to be under $10, under $5 even (especially with my link discount), but a quality blazer can range from $30 to $80. Use your own judgment. These are retail prices not wholesale prices. While it may be cheaper than another online retailer, the price should still make sense. In other words, do not purchase a pair of jeans or shoes for $3 or $0.50, the quality will not be great. 


Sizing can be very difficult on AliExpress and it is important to know your sizes for clothing and shoes. Exact measurements are vital.

Each retailer has a size guide you should refer to for guidance on what they identify as a small, medium, large, XLarge, XXLarge, etc..


I always recommend to go a size up when it comes to clothing. Some pieces can be true to size however referring to the size guide is best. It is better to have it a little big where you are able to get it tailored, rather than too small.


For shoes, know your European shoe sizes. Example, if you are a size 7, I recommend a size EU38.

Signs of good retailers include:

1. Product videos and pictures from the retailer. I love product videos. These videos are actually from the retailer and they show you an up close view of the product.

2. High star reviews. I like to look for the retailers store average ratings.

3. When the average ratings are 4 or 5 stars, that is a great sign.

4. Great communication. If you are curious about a product and message the retailer, they respond and are very helpful.

Signs of bad retailers include:

1. No reviews on any products that the retailer sells. (search the store front to see other product reviews).

2. Only receive bad reviews on every product they post

3. Has a low average stars for their store.

4. Steals too many pictures from other online retailers. (Not all are bad). The quality of the pictures are low and pixelated.

5. When you send a message and they do not respond.

6. Products are too cheap in price and quality (pictures).
